Early 90s

Hal and Sarah met at summer camp, where they spent many summers, eventually working as counselors. They both realized that they had a passion for working with children, which led them to both pursue teaching careers as adults.

Early 2000s

Hal and Hedi met for the first time and quickly became edu-besties! Hedi, a former teacher, was hired as the principal of a brand new school, and Hal applied to be the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. They hit it off right away: the “interview” lasted several hours, and they realized that they were very aligned in their beliefs around education. They had a blast working together for the next several years.

2015

Hedi and Hal went their separate ways for different professional opportunities, both still within the field of education - Hal as the principal of a school, and Hedi working at the district level. While they were sad to part ways, they were both psyched to continue to advance their careers!

2015

Meanwhile, Hedi was working at the district level, overseeing strategic planning, professional development of all faculty, and working closely with principals and other district leaders to help best serve students! He learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience.

2020

As much as we cringe even mentioning that year, the Silver Lining (see what we did there?!) of COVID for us was that our business was born. Hal and Hedi reconnected when they were both working to support educators through those “unprecedented times:” sharing ideas, resources, and commiserating. Sarah joined the party then, too, and we’ve been a team ever since!

Educators are experts, and with the right support and resources, they make magic happen.

In a school setting, nothing is more important than relationships, and data, research, and inquiry should be tools to nurture those relationships.

Each school has its own strengths and challenges and deserves a personalized approach.

All children deserve access to a high-quality, engaging education, and to classrooms where diversity of all kinds is valued and celebrated.
